Hi @chenyin_h ,

My use case is to encrypt data from an application using C/C++ API, specifically use the AES encryption. I believe the HSE firmware provides the necessary API to use its capabilities to encrypt data and this is what I am looking for. If we can achieve the same using any other tool included in the OS, that is also fine.

For now, I am only considerig using the A core but might require the M core usage as well in the future.

Hi NXP Community,

I am trying to use the HSE on the S32G-VP-RDB3 for AES encryption. However, I did not find any documentation on how to get started with it except for some details in the S32G3 reference manual. I got to know through the community post that HSE documentation requires a valid NDA and access to secure resources. I do have an NDA through my company and have applied for secure access and got the approval. On the secure resources page, I do not see any documentation for HSE under the S32G3 category.

Is there any place else that we need to look for the HSE documentation. Any other resources for this would be helpful as well.

Note: There was an installer for HSE firmware on the S32 standard software page. But that is a windows installer and there is no documenattion on how to use that as well. I am trying to use this under Linux.

Would you mind sharing more information about your request? I understand that the AES need to be used, may I know if you want to develop your own application using AES from A core side, M core side or both?

Hello, @pcentauri92

Thanks for your reply.

For adding AES encryption on your own application based on Linux BSP, assuming it is a Linux user space application, it could take use of libhse that provided by the BSP.

I suggest reading the following document/resource for your reference.

1. BSP UM, I suggest using a newer BSP like BSP42/43, the document could be get from your NXP account in BSP binary downloading page.

2. https://github.com/nxp-auto-linux/pkcs11-hse, this is the user space library for accessing the HSE from Linux user space, there is no document in this lib, but example code existed for hse encryption from Linux user space.

I hope it will help.
