Hi team,

just a quick question.

i am trying to integrate SAF module in S32g3. just wanted to know the recommendation where the msel module (mode selector which also calls scheck) should be integrated (in bootloader or in application software).

for now, im trying to integrate in application software, is it fine or it should be done in bootloader.

BR,

Harish R

Hello @Harish_R,

Thanks for reaching out to us. About your question, the sCheck module is intended to be used in the application software, since some of the tests can be run only in the A53 and some others in the M7 cores, it would not be possible to run all the tests in the bootloader.

For all the details please check the sCheck User Manual, you should be able to find it in your installation directory, for example:

C:/NXP/SW32G_SAF_2.0.2_QLP01_D2410/eclipse/plugins/sCheck_TS_T40D11M20I2R0/doc/S32G_SAF_SCHECK_UM.pdf

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi @alejandro_e

i understood! for performing test scheck should be integrated with Application software. what about msel module. that is responsible for selecting operational mode? should it be called in application?

BR,

Harish R

Checking the mSel User Manual you can see that it is intended to be used in the Bootloader [page 6 and 7, User Manual, User Manual, Rev. 12.0 — 31 July 2024]:
