S32G-VNP-RDB3 How to use SJA1110?

Hi NXP,

We have built the S32G-VNP-RDB3 yocto project. We have built the S32G-VNP-RDB3 yocto project, but do not know how to use sja1110. Can you see what the problem is?

1. Build project:

repo init -u https://github.com/nxp-auto-linux/auto_yocto_bsp -b release/bsp35.0
repo sync

./sources/meta-alb/scripts/host-prepare.sh

source nxp-setup-alb.sh -m s32g399ardb3

bitbake fsl-image-auto

2. Copy files to the /lib/firmware directory

Copy s32g_pfe_util.fw and s32g_pfe_class.fw of PFE-FW_S32G_1.5.0

Copy the sja1110_switch.bin and sja1110_uc.bin files of GoldVIP-S32G3-1.12.0\binaries

3. uboot

4. test

Configure the S32G3:

Configure the i.MX8QM:

I can ping i.MX8QM using pfe2. i.MX8QM cannot be ping using pfe0. Can you tell me what the problem is? Thank you!

Thanks for your post.

I remembered that the sja1110 firmware from GoldVIP is a customization version, and seems you are working with BSP 35.0, there may be some issues for directly using it, let me check it and will reply you later.

I don't know how to get the SDK for sja1110. Can you send me the SJA1110 bin file for BSP 35.0? Let me verify the SJA1110 function. Thank you!

Thanks for the reply

I feel sorry that it is not permitted for me to share the binaries directly, but I have two suggestions regarding to the issue:

1. To reference the UGS32G-VNP-RDB3-Ethernet-Enablement-Guide.pdf, download the SJA1110 SDK as described in the document, build FW and then used it with BSP35 images.

2. Continue using the SJA1110 FW binaries got from GoldVIP, but try doing the changes to the uboot settings, to change the xpcs speed to 1G instead of 2G5
