How to restart IPCF process stably?

Dear,

We are using S32G3 for ADAS application. Sometimes IPCF process maybe crash with low probability.

Our solution for this problem is:

1. Register signal handler for this process

2. Excute signal handler function while signal happens

3. Release IPCF resource within signal handler

This will resolve most issues when crash happened, and process can be restarted normally. However, we found rare case that, IPCF resource can't be released successfully, and we can't restart process normally.

So my question is that is there any stable solution or suggestion for this issue?

How can we repeat your question, and what versions of packages and reference manuals do you use? In order to provide better support, can you give specific error information?

Thanks for your reply. The IPCF package version we are using is 4.8, based on vxworks os.

The process calling IPCF lib is a littile complex, intergrate some open libraries, such as DDS. And there is no useful error information while crash happened.

I want to know if there is stable solution to restart the process compared to my solution. As we know, restart process should coporate with M core, is that right?

1. What does "IPCF resource can't be released successfully" mean?

2. What steps or actions are involved in the process of "releasing IPCF resource" in your system?

In general, to restart IPCF, it is necessary first to disable the inter-core interrupts from the M core, then halt data transmission from the M core, uninstall the driver on the A core, and finally reinitialize it.
