FS6500 Fuse Operation and configuration

The FS6500 Safety Mnaual refers to

"When the device is powered up, the fuses are loaded into a register bank, to fine tune internal electrical parameters, and checked by means of a hamming code."

However I can find no further information on the fuses or their operation. Are these NXP manufacturing fuses, not intended for developer modification? Is any configuration other than DEBUG MODE required for virgin board bring up?

Hi Mike,

Yes, the fuses are not intended for developers‘ modifications.

No, only the Debug mode is recommended to be used when the SBC + MCU are powered first time to enable programming of the flash memory. In the Debug mode, the watchdog timeout is disabled by default, so there is no need to refresh the SBC watchdog periodically.
