FS26 Bad WD refresh, can't enter normal mode

Hi,

When I used S32K3X4EVB-Q257 to test the function of FS26, I found that Watchdog could not refresh correctly and could not enter the normal mode. When leaving the debug mode, the development board will reset. The FS26_VDEBUG is configured as the default state, and the connectors J685 and J686 are both 1-2.

Fs26 has Challenger watchdog and Simple watchdog, please check your SBC which one it has.

For the WD refresh step please read datasheet page182.

Thank you for answering my question.

I checked the model of the chip on the development board and changed the watchdog refresh type. Now I can feed the dog correctly. But there are two problems:

1. In normal mode, The return value eReturnValue of functions such as Sbc_ fs26_ WdRefresh() and Sbc_ fs26_FsxbRelease() may not be equal to E_ OK。 But the chip can work correctly. Why?
2. In the watchdog drive configuration, there is an External watchdog. How do you understand External watchdog?
