I read the question/solution about QM version VR5510 running state.

https://community.nxp.com/t5/Other-NXP-Products/How-to-make-PMIC-as-NORMAL-FS/m-p/1487114

At the solution, TechSuppot said that QM version VR5510 can not enter NORMAL_FS.

It means that QM version VR5510 running state is INIT_FS.

if QM version VR5510 running state is INIT_FS state, I wonder whether INIT_FS register can be configured anytime.

Using QM VR5510(MVR5510AMMA4ES) and S32G2 M-core, when I configured INIF_FS register(FS_I_SAFE_INPUTS/TIMING_WINDOW_STBY) after 1024 ms from power-on, INIF_FS register was configured normally.

I wonder INIT_FS registers initialization time for QM VR5510.

Hello,

I hope all is great with you. Thank you for using the NXP communities.

You are correct, after POR or a wake-up from Standby mode or Deep Sleep mode, when the RSTB pin is released, the Fail-Safe State Machine enters into the INIT_FS phase for initialization.

Please find further information about the writing process at chapter 22.3 from datasheet.

I hope this information helps.

Regards,

Thank you for the explanation.

My question is What is QM VR5510 maximum configuration time of INIT_FS registers(FS_I_xx register).

For ASIL level VR5510, INIT_FS registers maximum configuration time is Watchdog Init Timeout(WD_INIT_TIME_OTP) in the INIT_FS state.

What is the QM VR5510 INIT_FS registers maximum configuration time?
Is it Watchdog Init Timeout(WD_INIT_TIME_OTP) or is there no maximum configuration time?

Hello,

Thank you for using the NXP community.

There is no maximum configuration time of INIT_FS for QM VR5510 device. No WD refresh is needed for QM part.

Standby mode can also be entered in INIT_FS state.

You can ignore the FS states after INIT_FS state.

I hope this information helps.
