How does the actually cell balancing in the MC3377x devices work?

Maybe I’m missing it in the docs but I’m trying to understand how/when the balancing turns on/off.

Are there parameters in the device to affect it or is it hard fixed in silicon?

You can get the full datasheet then read it out,for example in the MC33772 rev6.0 page51,there are more detail for introduce it!

Q:That section of the datasheet just explains how to enable/disable cell balancing, it doesn't explain how it actually operates - what happens at various cell voltages or temperatures for instance, and is that adjustable or fixed in silicon?
