Hi,

I am still not able to understand completely how OTP configuration works in MMPF0100. If I have loaded a configuration on the MMPF0100 using a programmer. Does this mean that the OTP of MMPF0100 is programmed ? or the programmer will ask if we need to program the OTP after testing the MMPF0100 against a particular configuration ?

If OTP is just one time programing per MMPF0100 device then how we can test the device before programming OTP permanently ?

Hello John,

Before permanently programming the MMPF0100 by programming fuses, a configuration may be prototyped by using the “Try Before Buy” (TBB) feature.

Please refer to the datasheet (Section 6.1.3 - OTP prototyping) for more information.

Best regards,

Tomas

Hi, I am bit confused between OTP registers and fuses and their connection to Try Before Buy feature.

The Section 6.1.3 says "Before permanently programming fuses, it is possible to test the desired configuration by using the “Try Before Buy” feature. With this feature, the configuration is loaded from the OTP registers".

I guess the OTP registers are only one time programable and in TBB mode, the OPT registers should not have any trustable value.
