Help Needed: Best UWB + BLE Module Recommendation & Access to Firmware/Software Packages

Hello NXP Community,

I am currently working on a project that requires both UWB (Ultra-Wideband) and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) capabilities for proximity detection and short-range communication. I am exploring NXP’s solutions and would like to request guidance from the community regarding:

1. Best Module Recommendation

Could you please suggest the most suitable NXP module or chipset that supports both UWB and BLE functionalities and is well-suited for integration in a real-time embedded application (e.g., asset tracking, indoor positioning, secure access control, etc.)?

Some requirements for the module include:

UWB for precise ranging and positioning
BLE for low-energy communication/advertising

2. Firmware and Software Packages

Once I finalize the appropriate module, I would like to know:

How do I get access to the official firmware and software development kits (SDKs)?
Are there example projects or demo applications available (preferably with FreeRTOS or Zephyr support)?
Are there RTOS-compatible drivers or middleware provided by NXP for UWB and BLE?
Is there a preferred development IDE or toolchain for this module?

I’d highly appreciate it if someone could point me to the right direction regarding the UWB+BLE combo solution, and share any relevant documents or links to get started.

Hope you are doing well. If you are looking for information about our UWB products or you are interested in this technology, I would recommend you check these Development Kits and Modules from our Partners (Trimension UWB Partners).

In case you are interested in one of these Kits/Modules, you would need to go directly with them to know the process and the support that they can provide them, as the support path for this technology is through them.

The documentation and software are distributed by the corresponding UWB Module partner. By selecting a module, you will be guided to our partner’s page where you can access datasheets, application notes, and the required enablement software.
