Hi,

what are the future plans for MQX ? I see that most support goes to ARM (Kinetis and Vybrid lately). What about other architectures, like Qorivva for example ?

There was support for old (and discontinued) PX microcontrollers. What about new Qorivva micros ?

Or maybe MQX will be developed exclusively for ARM architectures in the future ?

Maciek

Unfortunately there isn’t plan for direct support of Qorivva micros.

Current plan contains mainly Kinetis and i.MX devices.

As Craing correctly say, you can use Level 2 (paid services) support for porting MQX on Qorivva micros.

More about Level 2 support: http://www.freescale.com/files/soft_dev_tools/doc/user_guide/MQX_Support_User_Guide.pdf

Have a great day,
Radek

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.

@RadekS:

What about existing MQX support for PX microcontrollers ? There are still (in version 4.1) PSPs and BSPs for discontinued TWRPXD10, TWRPXN20, TWRPSX20 and TWRPXS30. I know that these microcontrollers have their counterparts in Quorriva family. What is Freescale's intent in this matter ? Should we use these PSPs and BSPs for new projects with Quorriva counterparts ?

Thanks

Maciek

MQX 4.1 is the last version with direct support of PX (Quorriva) microcontrollers.

Current plan is that MQX 4.2 will not contain PSPs and BSPs for PX microcontrollers.

You can use MQX 4.1 for counterparts in Quorriva family.

Have a great day,
Radek

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.

Hi,

As Craig stated, Embedded Access, Inc can provide MQX BSPs for Qorivva development boards.

If you are using a PX series device and need to migrate to the Qorivva family, there is a device migration bulletin from Freescale which suggests an appropriate Qorivva device counterpart.

PCN15703

http://cache.freescale.com/files/shared/doc/pcn/PCN15703.htm?&Parent_nodeId=&Parent_pageType=

Thanks,

MacL
