Using GCC with MQX on a 52259 ok or not?

I am trying to understand the implications of using the gcc compiler for the RTCS and possibly others, instead of the Codewarrior.

Obviously there are two big questions regarding this set-up;

1. Does the licence allow this? I could not really tell (borderline?).

2. Technically: Is it known to be very tedious work, or is the code nice and portable?

Has anyone tried to use gcc instead?

I think you may try to download a free trial pro CW for coldfire. Every month, i must install my os to install the software. hehe,you may use GCC. But i think you must be familiar with MQX kernal. This is a key to migrate it to other compiler.
