I noticed that the stack % for the task that stopped was very high (while it was still working), so I increased the the task stack size and the Task List and Stack Usage continued to work. This helped my problem, but I would think that the tool should be able to give some sort of feedback after it failed.

I'm using KDS_3.0.0/KSDK_1.2.0 with new updated software on a k64 target. I have been having trouble with a task that stops responding after working for a period of time. When I open the MQX Task List (when the task is responding) I can see the task information, but when the task stops responding, so does the MQX Task List and the Stack Usage. Any ideas why this is happening?
