Does the MCXA346VLQ device include a FlexIO module?

In the GPIO group interface section of UM12348: FRDM-MCXA346 Board User Manual, it is stated that “The MCX A346 MCU does not have a Flexible Input/Output (FlexIO) module.”

However, in the MCX A345, A346, A355, A356, A365 and A366 Reference Manual, there are descriptions of FlexIO for the A346 device.

Could you please clarify whether the MCXA346VLQ device supports the FlexIO module?

If FlexIO is not supported, how is the camera interface described in the Camera Interface chapter of UM12348 actually implemented? Is the camera driven entirely by SmartDMA firmware using fixed, dedicated pins?

Hello,

The MCX A346 MCU does not have a Flexible Input/Output (FlexIO) module.

The descriptions for ALT pinmux assignments described in Table 63 of MCX A345, A346, A355, A356, A365 and A366 Reference Manual are not intended for MCXA346, as the Notes below Table 63 section 12 stablish "CAN1, I3C, FlexIO and SLCD are not available in MCXA34x/A35x"

The MCX A346 includes a SmartDMA module that supports communication through the camera connector on J9, The SmartDMA fixed pins descriptions are shown in Figure 12 and Table 14 of the FRDM‑MCXA346 Board User Manual (Section 2.7, Camera Interface).
