I have already replied to your private ticket:

Thank you for your reply.

What project did you download previously?

When using SPT for mass erasing, it does not operate in ISP mode. Instead, it uses SWD, so there is no need to enter ISP mode. Just connect MCU-LINK(J17) with PC.

Please take a photo of your hardware.

Please try to check whether your board can be connected in ISP mode. The steps are as follows:

Press the ISP button, then power on your board using HS-USB (J1), and release the ISP button. Next, open SPT and follow the steps demonstrated in the video attached. Check whether a connection can be established. If not, I think the chip is broken.

Please feel free to contact me if you still have any issue or concern.

To streamline our communication, I suggest we use just one channel—either the community or private—to avoid confusion.

I seem to have bricked not one, but 2, MCXN947's...both were working fine, until I suddenly couldn't connect (debug error from IDE reads 'unable to connect wire for probe index 1, wire ack fault - target connected?'). I've tried to regain control from ISP mode, erasing from both IDE and SPT, and using Linkserver (errors read 'could not connect to core', 'no connection to chip's debug port', etc) and J-Link tools directly, but no dice.

I'm using the latest firmware, IDE, SDK, etc.

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated!

- Josh

Can the ISP mode with SPT be connected and erased?

Also, you can try to perform a mass erase using SWD, also based on SPT, as follows:

Alice_Yang_0-1745570893589.png

Hi Alice,

Thanks for your quick reply.

When in ISP mode, the debug probe can’t be found. Erasing from SWT also fails, being unable to connect to target. I’ve attached screenshots of the various errors I’m receiving using SWT below.

- Josh

Probe not found when in ISP mode:

isp_mode.png

Test connection error:

test_connection.png

Erase errors:

erase_error1.pngerase_error2.pngerase_error3.png.
