Hello team,

I am currently working with the MCX-N546VDFT microcontroller and have a few questions related to the hardware design:

Programming with UART and USB: Can this microcontroller be programmed using UART or USB? If so, could you provide details on any available methods?

Power Configuration Options: I reviewed the hardware design guide (UG10092) and noted the two power configuration options: (1) single supply and (2) multi-supply configuration. Could you clarify the applications and benefits of each configuration and offer guidance on selecting the appropriate one for specific applications?

PMIC Replacement with LDOs: In the MCX-N5XX-EVK design, a PMIC is used. Would it be feasible to replace this with LDOs? If any design documents are available for such an adaptation, please share them.

Hello @Jain_Naman

Programming with UART and USB: Yes, we can enter ISP mode, then use UART or USB to program the image into flash memory. For detailed information, please refer to "Part 14 ISP" and "Part 15 Boot ROM".

Power Configuration Options: In a single supply configuration, all power domains of the device are powered by a single voltage source. This simplifies the power design and reduces the number of power supplies required. In a multi-supply configuration, different power domains of the device are powered by separate voltage sources. This allows for more precise control over power delivery and can optimize performance and efficiency.

PMIC Replacement with LDOs: About this question, please create a private ticket at https://support.nxp.com/s/?language=en_US , there will be customer support engineer help you. Thanks.

For Power Configuration Options, if you have no special requirements, please use a single supply of 3.3V. If you have specific requirements, such as needing 1.8V power for a particular pin, you can consider adding two power supplies (1.8V and 3.3V).

I apologize, but I haven't found a specific document for MCXN546. You can Google to compare single supply and multi-supply configurations for more detailed information.
