Hello everyone,

I recently purchased the FS32K144UAT0VLLT microcontroller from https://www.xecor.com/product/mc68332acfc16 and am currently working on a project based on this chip. During the development, I’ve encountered some issues related to configuring the microcontroller for low-power modes, and I’m seeking assistance from the community.

Project Background

Our project aims to utilize the FS32K144UAT0VLLT microcontroller to build a low-power embedded system. We plan to use the chip’s low-power modes to optimize power management and extend battery life.

Issues Encountered

I’m having trouble configuring the FS32K144UAT0VLLT for low-power modes and need guidance on the following:

Register Configuration: How do I properly set the registers to enable low-power modes on the FS32K144UAT0VLLT?

Mode Selection: Under what conditions should I choose WAIT mode versus STOP mode?

Power Optimization: What best practices can help in optimizing power consumption and ensuring stable operation in low-power modes?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @Lorise,

Refer to SDK or RTD examples.

In S32DS IDE, new projects can be created from the examples.

There are also some baremetal examples, for instance:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/S32K-Knowledge-Base/Example-S32K144-CMP-Round-robin-S32DS2-0/ta-p/1100721

https://community.nxp.com/t5/S32K-Knowledge-Base/Example-S32K144-RTC-VLPS/ta-p/1119655

AN5425 Power Management for S32K1xx

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN5425.pdf

Regards,
