topic MCUXpresso eDMA use with LPI2C in MCX Microcontrollers

This is a general question.

I have looked at the NXP provided edma slave board to board example project provided for the imxrt1050-evkb.

This project does not use the MCUXpresso peripheral configuration tool.

I have attempted to set the edma up for use with the lpi2c and I can't seem to get the edma working.

Is there a reason NXP did not enable the peripheral configuration tools for this demo?

It's seems as though all set up is done manually.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that if MCUXpresso manages the peripherals that the clock configuration will stop edma from working.

If you are reading this and you are with NXP can you provide a reference on how to get this working with the config tool?

Hi @rantonetti,

I wouldn't be able to say with certainty when (or if) the SDK team will fully implement the example codes with Peripherals Tool. But for now, the evkbimxrt1050_lpi2c_edma_b2b_transfer example projects, like the rest of the evkbimxrt1050 demos, are fully integrated with at least Pins and Clocks Tool.

What errors do you see when setting up the eDMA on Peripherals Tool?

BR,
Edwin.
