Hi,

I’m using the Type 1XL from Murata which uses the 88W9098 NXP chip and connects to the host via PCIe. I’ve plugged this board into a FRWY LS1012A development board running Layerscape. I’ve tried following the attached instructions from NXP for compiling the driver, but run into issues with the ‘make build’ command. I know I’m missing something with the Linux kernel but can’t figure out what, does anyone know how to resolve this to get the WiFi chip working?

Yep, just trying to compile the 88W9098 driver. I have the driver’s ‘make’ file, but I can’t figure out how to configure my Linux kernel to allow the ‘make build’ command execute successfully.

I’ve read online that I need to download and ‘setup’ the kernel, but I’m confused as to why that’s a step if I’m already running on the kernel version I’d like to use to building this driver.
