Based on the information you provided, it appears that the LS1046ARDB-PB reference design utilizes the XFI signal, which is then connected to a retimer (DS110DF111) and ultimately to an SFP cage. Therefore, it seems that the final connection is made to&amp;nbsp; SFP connector.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please note that the LS1046ARDB-PB reference design should provide more detailed documentation on the specific configuration and connections for the 10G design.       <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;It is my understanding SFP is more commonly used than XFP.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Probably because of the smaller footprint for a SFP module and SFP is newer technology.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;It all boils down to electrical specifications.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Since SFP modules adhere to SFI electrical specs, our XFI interface needs the retimer to convert XFI to SFI.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;It may be possible the LS1046A XFI interface meets SFI specs but only the LX2 product family has been validated to meet SFI specs.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Attaching the internal slide deck. SFP+ is the nomenclature to show 10Gbps support.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; To perform loopback testing, we typically use a loopback module.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; e.g., &lt;A href="https://www.fs.com/products/50010.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.fs.com/products/50010.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is that board even supported any more? There is no info on your site about it, and support is being removed from U-Boot and Linux.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I checked u-boot and Linux source code in&amp;nbsp; LSDK 21.08, LS1046AQDS is supported.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
