Blank GUI Guider on Windows 11

I have just installed GUI Guider V1.4.0 for the first time. GUI Guider shows a blank screen on launch. I am using Windows 11, 64 bit. I cannot interact with the GUI Guider or close it, except by killing it via the task manager. Is there any way I can fix this, or troubleshoot what is happening?

If it is the first time installing a new system, I think you need to add an empty file named "guiguider.setting" on "%AppData%/gui-guider/guiguider.setting". BTW, win11 is not verified.

Unfortunately adding the file "guiguider.setting" had no effect. The program still shows a blank interface, even after restarting my PC.

I have also tried downloading GUI guider 1.4.0 on a different PC with Windows 10, and the same thing happens, I only see a blank interface.

I have now installed GUI Guider 1.3.0, and it works as expected.

Do you have any other ideas why 1.4.0 shows a blank screen?

Hi,

Please change the content of "%AppData%\AppData\Roaming\gui-guider\1.4.0-GA\guiguider.setting" to the following and try again. "%AppData%/gui-guider/guiguider.setting" can be removed. Please follow the user's guide to install JAVA on host.

Thank you, with your guidance, I was able to get it to work. What I did was:
Install 1.3.0

Create a project in 1.3.0

Uninstall 1.3.0

I noticed that the appdata was not removed after the uninstall: %appdata%/gui-guider/guiguider.setting

Install 1.4.0

After that, 1.4.0 ran as expected.
