CodeWarrior license for MC13192 SARD

hello,
I am new to this forum and also the MC13192. I bought the MC13192 SARD XYZ acceleremeter and the 13192 EVB board. I have not install CodeWarrior yet.
I would like to ask how long the license will last. I want to know in advance, so I will not have the license expire admist of an ongoing project. that would really suck. plus, being a poor student does not allow me to spend crazily on a software license. is there a free license version? can anyone help me with this? thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

If you purchased the MC13192 Kit it should have come with CodeWarrior Special Edition which is the free limited version of CodeWarrior which doesn't expire. It has limitations on the code size instead.

You can register with FreeScale and download the updates from their web site. The current version of CodeWarrior is 6.2 for the HS08 MCU's.

Here is the statement from FreeScale about special edition CodeWarrior:

"Special Editions are fully functional, free download versions of the CodeWarrior Development Studio with code size restrictions on the build chain. Use these versions to build prototype software and evaluate Freescale silicon. Special Editions are pre-licensed, not bound to a single machine and are not time restricted."
