Hi everyone, I am beginner and I need help. I would like to use Processor expert to program my DEMO board.

I bought a DEMO9SO8QD4, that includes CW for HC08 v 5.1 the code warrior ide is the 5.7.0. This doesn't have P&E for QD family Why? I downloaded CW for MCU v 10.2, this allowed me to use P&R for QD family Why? There is a way to export files from CW for MCU v 10.2 to CW for HC08 v 5.1 or can i program the DEMO9SO8QD4 directly from CW for MCU v 10.2 (without U-MULTILINK-FX)? I would like to use P&E because I usually use this for my 56f8013 demo board and it works well.

I thank you in advance for the help.

Marco

Hello Marco, and welcome to the forum.

Do not confuse Processor Expert (PE) with the company name P&E Microcomputer Systems.

CW version 5.1 is very old, and the MC9S08QD device probably did not exist at the time of release. You should forget about version 5.1, and use version 10.2 instead. This is capable of programming your demo board.

You will find that, as new devices are released, an upgrade patch is available for CW. However, I am not suggesting that you upgrade v 5.1 - it is now too old.

Regards,

Mac
