Looking for RS08 info

I am trying to find info on the new RS08 chips.

I found a MC9RS08KA2 now listed on freescale.com and a DEMO9RS08KA2
dev. board. I still can't find a full data sheet on this part. I tried
to order one of the demo boards but it is in backorder. I also found a
beta version (5.1) of Codewarrior for this part and downloaded it.

Does anyone have any more info on the new RS08 chips? I searched this forum
and found no hits on "RS08". Is it just too new?

Hi Dan,

I think you have answered the question yourself.

We are still in the "marketing type but no real hardware" phase.

There has been some discussion about it in the old yahoo group 68HC05_08.

Mainly centred on how lame it is, but they are a difficult group to please.

peg is correct. We've released some preview information on the 9RS08KA2, but the complete documentation won't be available until late next month.

In my experience with automotive parts, the information is usually available long before it appears on the web if you know who to ask for it. I was hoping to get some advance info to see if this part really might work for my application. I guess I'll just have to learn some patience...
