&lt;P&gt;For the ADC initialization you can take a look at the datasheet, in there you will find the initialization sequence and some Pseudo-Code Example of how to do so.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;See section 10.5.1 ADC Module Initialization Example of MC9S08DZ48, MC9S08DZ32, MC9S08DZ16 - Data Sheet&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For the initialization of the GPIO you can &lt;EM&gt;refer to Chapter 6 Parallel Input/Output Control of MC9S08DZ48, MC9S08DZ32, MC9S08DZ16 - Data Sheet&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
