Can JTAG on NXP ARM MCUs be used for programming?

I'm evaluating the LPC11U6x family for a low-volume hobbyist project, but will automate PCBA production. A common approach is to use JTAG to verify the PCBA and upload code. JTAG is briefly described in the family datasheet.

However, there's no mention of the ability to use JTAG to upload code. If this is not possible, can code be uploaded as a final production step via an external hardware interface rather than using the internal bootloader?
