We are using FXTH8705 and FXTH8715 in our product.

For production of same we want to lock the application code (read production of application), how do we do the same?

We are using PE Cyclone Pro and PE Universal Multi-link programmer with the PROGHSC08 software for same. The flash programming algorithms for FXTH87 series does not have the secure device command in the file.

How to we enable the security for code read protection or how can we update the flash programming algorithm?

Hi Pradnya

It looks like the FXTH8705 and FXTH8715 can be secured by programming the NVPROT register location at address 0xFFBD in Flash memory. Can you submit an algorithm request on our website? The link is http://www.pemicro.com/SRS/create_SR_flashAlgRequest.cfm . One of our application engineers will look into adding a Secure Device command to our existing FXTH87XX algorithms.

Regards,

Johnny

PEMicro Support
