Dear Friends,

I am new to freescale processor and this community. I would like to know basic detail regarding assembly programming on above microcontroller.

1) Codeworrior - I read in many forums and web that we have to download perticular version of CW for every Microcontroller. Does it means if i m using version A of CW for the microcontroller A, I can not use CW version A for different Microcontroller B>>???

2) Where can i get basic programming guide for the freescale microcontroller in assembly.. I have experience with other MCs before.

3) any suggestion for starter? I believe you all must have face some problems, if you can share i will try to avoid..

Thank you for your time

Pathik

1) If you donwload CodeWarrior for MCUs v10, it supports a wide variety of MCUs. The wizard that you use to create a project lets you select the processor type that the project generates code for.

2) I don't know if there are any assembly language sample programs that accompany the CodeWarrior installation. There is a assembly reference manual.

3) Download the Special Edition of CodeWarrior for MCUs and try out the example programs that are part of the installation. The best way to learn is by doing.

---Tom
