      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello and welcome to the fora.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Simply put HCS08 (or S08) is a later updated version of the HC08.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here is an &lt;A href="http://www.freescale.com/webapp/search/Serp.jsp?QueryText=an2717&amp;amp;&amp;amp;attempt=-1" rel="nofollow" target="_self" title="AN2717"&gt;application note&lt;/A&gt; about it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you know little about either I would suggest you simply forget HC08 ever existed and just look at the S08.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;S08 is always better, cheaper and most of the HC08's are dying off.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
