DEMOQE and MC9S08QE8 mismatch

Dear Sirs

I have got some DEMOQE boards with MC9S08QE8 daughter boards wishing to make prototypes of data acquisition system. My problem is that I have found mismatches between the Pin Assignment of the 32 pin MC9S08QE8 and the Demo Board which connections are fit for the 64 pin MC9S08QE128. I'm puzzled in particular about the Xtal connections.
The board seems to partially work anyhow, i.e. communicates with the debugger, but my impression is that something is not ok with the sample programs.

I use the same demo board with the QE8 32 pin version and I didn't have any trouble running the demo programs. I do not use the external crystal though.

If you provide more specific information I may be able to help or someone else might be able too.

The pins of the 9S08QE128 processor are wired in a specific manner on the plug-in daughter card. This way
the xtal/extal pins of the processor are correctly connected to the corresponding hardware modules on the DEMOQE base board.
