Hi, is this MCU still in production ?

Can anyone please provide information about how to read/program this chip ?

Is the USB Multilink MON08 valid to program such a device ? or the MON08 is actually different from MON05 if there is any (I'm assuming it's the same because 08s are derived from 05 chips).

I have not used this part in years, but it looks like it is still available. But it is not recommended since it is at it's end-of-life, like all of the HC05s.

Although HC08s were derived from HC05s, the programming is not the same. The recent HC08s and HCS08s use flash memory, and the HC705s used eprom. That particular chip used one-time-programmable eprom.

There was a small PGMR board available to program the chip, but I can't seem to find it on the website.

mmmmm, well in this case, do you know which HC08 MCU has the same pinout / resources ( even if we talk about Flash, I mean the Timers and modules necessary to program the chip to "imitate" the behavior of the old HC705 chip knowing the functioning of the "device" ) ?
