New at microcontrollers, where do I start?

Hi, I just got an MC9S08QE128, for learning and practicing programming microcontrollers uisng C/C++.

And well where do I start?

I would appreciate any books you guys might recommend, to get started.

I thougth in accompaning DVD there a begginers manual or something, no such luck.

I´m college teacher and I´m just starting out with this. Help PLEASE.
