This is more than a simple DMA since it can be programed in a RISC way to develop algorithms and therefore you can do complicated operations with it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; you can for example deal with a whole CAN network without intervention from the CPU, only interrupting when you have a real message for the processor.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; you do RF modulation and demodulation and any application that will take up a lot of interrupts.
