Peripheral is already used ... USER - how do I remove ?

I was learning the Processor Expert and defined MSCAN as used externally.

Then I discovered that was not the right way to do it.

Now, I want to add the MSCAN component, but it does not allow me to assign it to MSCAN because

Peripheral is already used by special signal USER (MSCAN controller)

I have looked for over an hour through help files, etc and cannot find how to remove the incorrect definition.

Do you know where I can find this to un-assign it from USER?

It took three hours to find the doc for this. And I cannot consistently remember how I got there. Please add this to the help index.

In Processor Expert, under CPUs I find my cpu defined as Cpu:MC9S12P32CFT

Double cllicking on that link opens the Component Inspector.

Clicking to the 'Used' tab shows several categories of items.

Under the last item, A/D and communication channels I found MSCAN

Clicking on the purple arrow released MSCAN from USER.
