hello everyone

I m using controller as mentiond above.I m facing some memory problem wd dat though code size is not too large.How Can I do its memory mapping as per my requirement .where sould I make changes for dat.

What exactly is your memory problem? You are running out of RAM? EEPROM? Flash? What is your code size? Does the linker give you a particular error message?

sorry for the late reply.Actually,When I am trying to add some more files to the code .It shows some link error.But when I remove these files ,it disappears.

I just wanna know how do we make the RAM ,ROM,flash memory register setting for MC9S12XHZ512 controller.

Anyhelp ,would be appreciable.

You need to provide more details. What is the linker error?

I don't understand that sentence. Are you talking about the RPAGE, EPAGE, and PPAGE registers that allow you to access paged RAM/EEPROM/FLASH? Are you wondering how to place certain code/data in certain places?

I am facing problem with code size of the memory.Right now we are able to use code size upto 32KB. beyond that ,it gives error.Now I want to extend the code size of the controller.As the memory of controler is 512 KB. I m using only 32 KB code and 6KB data.How can I use rest of the memory?

Is there anyway to increase code memory of controller?

Is there any register setting for initializing code memory location and where?

Sounds like Codewarrior license issue. Are you are running free special edition with 32k code size limit? If not then probably something is wrong with your license.

Thanks for ur help.

I think you got it right.It has some liecnse problem because it gives error like"Code size limited edition upto 32 K".

But we have got original CD's ,we dont remember its license no.Can we know the license number by sending part no. of code warrior along with Version No.

Can you please tell me the procedure for that?

You don't have to remember license no, but you should have license.dat file. If you lost it, then I guess you should
