How to program a 9s12c64?

Hi.

I hvad a 9s12c64, how do i program it?

I have a usb bdm debugger ( http://www.cncgeeker.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=11 ).

I use code warrrior free edition v. 5

I can see that the debugger pulls the BKGD and RESET pin, so the debugger is alive.

I hav a .s19 file i need to program into the chip.. but what du i need to configure before i can do this?

When i try to connect to the debugger i get an error saying "Error while loading diagnostics algorithm to target system. The chip may be secured, or the derivative selected may be wrong"

The chip is bran new..

Can anyone give me a "step by step" guide "for dummies"

Does the .s19 file you are trying to programme contain a full application?

I am pretty sure I have only been able to programme .abs files.

The file i´m trying to programe is a bootloader, the should enable the SPI.

I use HiWave to program the chip with.

Then i use "load application" in the file menu and afterwarts run(F5) i doesn´t get any errors, but the chip doesn´t enable the SPI.

If i do the same without the BDM cable connected i doesn´t get any errors eighter.

How can i be sure that i´m connected to the chip.

How shall i set the speed in the TBDML menu. my chip runs with a 8.00MHZ crystal and the debugger with a 12.00MHz.
