Download hex file to MC9S12CLF

Hello,

I want to download a hex file to MC9S12G96CLF. Can I use the MULTILINK UNIVERSAL programmer and CodeWarrior software to do that? If I can't, what are my options? I think PROG12Z will do the job but I would like to test it before buying it.

I use the MULTILINK UNIVERSAL programmer and CodeWarrior to flash my code to S12ZVC. I think MULTILINK UNIVERSAL support S12G, too.

I use 6-pin BDM connect to MULTILINK UNIVERSAL.

Hi,

You should be able to use CW 5.1 / 5.2 and Multilink Universal.

What exactly is the problem? Do you use a development board?

We have codes and I can compile that codes using CW 5.1 and download it to the S12 micro on our board using multilink universal. It runs perfectly.

Now I want to send just the hex file (.s19), no code, to a customer so he can download the hex file to the board. How can this be done using CW 5.1 and multilink universal? Could you give me a brief instruction?

Hi,

You can download the S19 file which is generated by CW5.1 (project/bin/.abs) to MCU using hiwave.exe,

Go to the root folder of the CW5.1 /Prog/hiwave.exe

Set up connection via Multilink and then Load your S19 file.
