Is there an App Note for replacing today's hand-generated pinmux config with NXP Pin Tools pinmux config?

imx6-bsp‌, imx6ull, #pin mux tool‌, #IMX6ULL_EVK

We are looking for an application note that recommends the blocks of hand-generated pinmux configuration code that can be removed in favor of the initialization function calls from the NXP Pin Tools auto-generated pinmux configuration code.

Does such an application note already exist? If not, could NXP support provide such an application note?

The concern is... we are trying to use the IMX6ULL-EVK as a reference design. But, we'd like to use NXP's Pin Tools configuration tool as the tool to control pinmux configuration. However, we find that the pinmux source code within the current recommended Yocto reference design (‘fsl_yocto-L4.1.15_2.0.0-ga') does not call the NXP Pin Tools auto-generated source code to control pinmux configuration today.

Rather than to leave the existing hand-generated pinmux configuration code in that exists today... we'd like to start from a NXP trusted set of pinmux configuration values that are known to work with the latest NXP IMX6ULL-EVK reference design, and yet be controlled from automatically generated pinmux source from NXP Pin Tools.

Any thoughts? Recommendations?

Thanks much in advance!
