Hello NXP engineers,

Can any one give a brief idea about how can we protect our RAM from ASIL interference in MPC5746. There is any module in this controller to detect ASIL interference. Please give me your valuable comments.Thank you

Hi,

Which micro exactly have you in mind?

Because there are MPC5746R, MPC5746M, MPC5746C etc...

Each is targeted for different safety class and applications.

In general MPC57xx implement Memory build in self test, SMPU (system module protection unit), ECC protection and other safety assistance mechanisms.

But you have to be more specific in this topic.

Hi,

You will use SMPU (system memory protection unit).

Refer to reference manual Chapter 13 System Memory Protection Unit (SMPU) for detailed explanation.

We have also posted example codes here:

Example MPC5748G SMPU initialization

Example MPC5748G SMPU initialization + Process ID test

If you have any specific questions do not hesitate to ask.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your valuable information.I have a doubt in SMPU and FCCU. In FCCU there is 0 to 95 faults that are mentioned with their NCF Index. In it the 49 and 50 NCF Index is SMPU.The error in SMPU will be shown in FCCU ?  I want to know what is the relation between FCCU and SMPU.Please give your valuable suggestion..Thank you...
