Hi,

my guts is telling me that it's possible to connect a 8-bit interface TFT with the imx6ul but I'm not able to pin down how. Can somebody put me on the right track? I know it has something to do with the ELCDIF frame buffer driver and change some settings in the dtsi but I'm not able to find the correct documentation. Any advice/little push in the right direction?

Thanks

Will this work on this board as well? DART-6UL - Variscite Wiki
Or is the patch board-independent and just used as a reference?

Also, I'm using a kernel Version 4.1 and the patch is for an older version.

I also do not have the 'mxc' folder in the '/drivers/video/' folder, what can be the cause of this?

patches are written and verified on nxp reference boards with nxp bsps on

i.MX 6 / i.MX 7 Series Software and Development Tool|NXP

it may need porting for other boards and linux distributions.
