How to connect from J11 at FRDM-K22F to MK22FX512AVLQ12 at user board.  So try to connect by SWD. But not connect with them. Ofcourse cut the SWD line between the OpenSDA and MK22FN512VLH1 at FRDM-K22F. Then, confirm the JTAG of MK22FX512AVLQ12 DataSheet,

Does MK22FX512AVLQ12 supported the JTAG only?  (so not support the SWD interface).

Would you please inform them!

For the first time, I try to use the Kinetis MCU.

Best regards

Hello kobayashi,

The Kineits k series MCU support JTAG and SWD debug port .

So the chip of MK22FX512AVLQ12 support bot JTAG and SWD.

Please check the reference manual of this chip :

Thank you for the reply, Alice-san

I understand there is the  SWD at the  MK22FX512AVLQ12.

Block configuration as following.

FRDM-k22F( OpenSDA -+-- X (cut)--> MK22FN512VLH12)

                                     |---------------> MK22FX512AVLQ12(our board)

                                 (SWD)

Now, I’m debugging the our board.

So, not connected by SWD of FRDM-K22F OpenSDA.

The confirmation issues as following.

1 Reset_b pin is oscillating.(about 1.4kHz)

2 Flash is blank for new MK22FX512AVLQ12.

3 Reset_b pin with 10kΩpullup and 100nF, SWD_DIO pin with 10kΩpullup, EZP_CS_b pin with 10kΩpullup.

So, I found the same problem as following.

https://community.nxp.com/thread/300626

However, I don’t have the J-Link and I-Jet.

I want to solve the SWD connection by the OpenSDA(FRDM-K22F) under the  Kinetis Design Studio.

Would you please advice for me?

Best regards

Kobayashi

Hello Kobayashi,

- On KDS, you can select the SWD protocol :

pastedImage_1.png

- About the hardware connection , you can refer to the FRDM-K22 board , or you can ask in the Kinetis Microcontrollers part :  https://community.nxp.com/community/kinetis

Hope it helps

Dear Alice-san

Thank you for response.

I tried your suggestion.

P&E.png

I clicked the "Debug", SWD waveform did not appear  when SWD_IO pin was setting the trigger of rising edge.

I think, that GDB PEMicro Interface Debugging is selected when the ICE of the P&E Universal Multilink is used.

By the way,,,,

I used the OpenSDA of  FRDM-K22F. Therefore GDB OpenOCD Debugging was selected.

SWD waveforms were as following.( Yellow waveform is Reset_b pin. Blue waveform is SWD_IO pin.

 Purple waveform is SWD_CLK pin.)

OpenOCD.png

SWD pins configuration was as following.

SWDsetting.png

SWD_IO and SWD_CLK waveform appeared.

But  Reset_b signal was oscillating. Then not enter debug mode. So not programming into the FLASH memory.

How to stop  the Reset_b oscillating by KDS?

Best Regards

Kobayashi

Hello Kobayashi,

- About disable the Reset_b pin, you can uncheck the "Reset_pin"

pastedImage_1.png

- About the FRDM-K22 board , there are three debug  modes depend on  debugger firmware in board, about the detail you can refer to this link :

Summary of FRDM-K22F debug interface

- Also i still recommend you provide you hardware picture to kinetis hardware team to check whether have

problem .

Hope  it helps

Thank you for response.

ALice-san

I tried your suggestion. However not solved this issue.

I decided the purchuse of J-Link as following community.

 PK60F120M Reset pin oscillating

I will get it, and try the recovery.

Thank you for help, ALice-san!

Hello, ALice-san

I got the J-Link plus, this morning. So tried, the programming was successful.

Ofcourse, reset_b pin oscillating stopped.

Thank you for your help.
