questiong about AIPS(chapter 13) and AHB-to-APBH Bridge(chapter 14)

I  am reading IMX6DQRM, have a questiong about AIPS(chapter 13)  and AHB-to-APBH Bridge(chapter 14), is APB difference for IP BUS? and APB is only used in GPMI?

you are right APB is only used for GPMI, actually

it came from i.MX23/28 processors.

many ARM SOC manufacturers use APB to connect peripheral(APB is a ARM standard),

NXP(fsl) use his private IP bus to do this?
