Hello!

I get error in kernel boot process. My custom board based on i.mx6 Solo and 256MB DDR3. I boot kernel from NFS server, in my virtual machine.

i see that CMA:  320 MiB but size my DDR - 256 MB. Цhere can I change this value?

Unable to allocate framebuffer memory     - again a problem with the placement of memory. I set in netargs  fbmem=10M, but this not affect.

Yes, the cause was in small memory size in my board.

I solved the problem. In imx_v7_defconfig i chenge CONFIG_CMA_SIZE_MBYTES size, and recompile kernel.

After that, the kernel boot is ok!

I was planning to use the image fsl-image-qt5. but I am amazed at its size!

Can you give me a link which describes how to add to the core-image-base needed components?

Hi Eugene

issue may be caused by small memory size, one can try

minimal images, core-image-minimal or core-image-base,

adding then necessary drivers.
