Hi.

May i know how many display BG and overlay framebuffer is available on the imx6 SOLO?

In below page:

https://support.bluetechnix.at/wiki/Linux_Software_User_Manual_%28i.MX6%29

section 8.13 Display Interface,

It stated that imx6 SOLO only has 2 BG framebuffer and 1 overlay framebuffer.

Just want to confirm whether this is true? I did not see any description on this in the reference manual.

Thank you.

Regards,

Zhen Cong Tee

Hi Zhen,

expert answer:

"the hardware IPU by default doesn't support it. It can only support 2-layer(BG, FG)."

Hi Chip,

If this is the case, does it means that for dual display (as supported by the IPU),

i have 2x2layer(BG,FG) framebuffer?
