I am trying to configure the l2 switch in a T1040D4RDB for 802.1x port authentication using the l2switch-cfg commands.
I have tried the "auth" command without success:
l2switch-cfg set auth both port <port_no>
I don't see a way to configure the radius-server on the l2switch as recommended in the "T1040 L2Switch Software Support" document:T1040 L2Switch Software Support
From section - 4.2 "802.1 X NetWork Access Server Configuration"
On the target board
(config)# radius-server key 111111
(config)# radius-server host 192.85.1.1
What l2switch-cfg commands should be used to configure 802.1x port authentication? Or is there a better way to configure the l2 switch to support 802.1x port authentication.
Hello Richard Bouck,
Port authentication is not supported by command l2switch-cfg in Freescale SDK.
Please refer to Fig.2 in T1040 L2Switch Software Support, the user could use SMBStax L2 Switch Stack to implement port authentication function, which is a binary package outside the Linux SDK.
Thanks,
Yiping
