MFG tool in i.MX8M

Hi,

I'm using i.MX8M custom board.

Here MFG tool is failing in below place. Using Type C as OTG.

The available udc:
/sys/class/udc/38100000.dwc3
[    5.940293] Mass Storage Function, version: 2009/09/11
[    5.945456] LUN: removable file: (no medium)
MFG tool will use 1st udc:38100000.dwc3
/linuxrc: line 53: echo: write error: Device or resource busy
Starting UTP
uuc 0.5 [built Mar 12 2018 12:14:52]
UTP: Waiting for device to appear

It is not moving further after below prints.

In kernel I have enabled

CONFIG_FSL_UTP

CONFIG_USB_CONFIGFS_MASS_STORAGE

CONFIG_MASS_STORAGE,

Is there any other macros needs to be enabled in Linux kernel? Whether any changes required in Uboot to be done?

one can try to rebuild mfg tool firmware (files in mfg tool ../firmware folder) with new ones

and using results from ddr test, follow Chapter 4 How to bring up a new MX8M board MX8M_DDR_Tool_User_Guide.docx
i.MX 8M DDR Tool Release 
For rebuilding please use sect.6.2 Manufacturing Tool, MFGTool  attached Yocto Guide

Hi Igor,

After updating properly config file, it is moving little further, But now hanging at "Jumping to OS image".

I have attached the MFG log here.

Kindly provide your inputs regarding this.

Hi Igor,

I am not using the default binaries in firmware folder, I have already build with updated DDR changes and using the same binaries in firmware folder too.

And I'm doing standalone compilation of u-boot and kernel source code, not through yocto.

suggest to try procedure using yocto, as this is nxp officially supported option.

For non-yocto options one can try to get help with  Professional Services

MFG tool is working with windows10 OS, but not with windows 7.
