Dear team,

We are using i.MX8M custom board.
In that to get HDMI worked, is there any modification needs to be done to the present dts file "fsl-imx8mq-evk.dts" ?

According to my understandings no any change needs to be done, but for me board is hanging after below prints before DRM initialization

Hi Yashavantha

seems you are right, one can verify that proper bsp used

Linux L4.9.51 8MQuad

https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=L4.9.51_8MQ_GA_LINUX_DOCS&Parent_nodeId=1337699481071706...

try with several panels:

HDMI display not working in i.MX 8M Quad EVM

third party option

Linux Kernel - i.MX8 - Boundary Devices

Best regards

Hi Igor,

BSP used is proper(fsl-yocto-L4.9.51_mx8mq-ga).

Since debug UART and HDMI pins are used as same as i.MX8M evk I have tried to test the board with reference evk binaries, even with that binaries board stops at same place before DRM initialization.

Thanks and Regards,

Yashavantha

Hi Igor,

Thank you for your quick response.

Before I had enabled video and hdmi in uboot, then the above issue was there.

Later disabled both video and HDMI in uboot, then its not hanging in above place but in below place.
