The automotive industry is now demanding engineers to provide new and improved vehicle safety systems, moving from basic airbag deployment systems to both complete Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) technologies.


Industrial markets require ISO 26262 compliance robust solutions to prevent accidents, including avoidance capabilities. The ISO 26262 defines four Automotive Safety Integrity Levels (ASILs) —with ASIL D being the most stringent safety level.
