NXP is developing a prototype ARM Based virtualization platform, to use as a development platform for NFV-based applications. The purpose is to provide all required hardware and software components that build the infrastructure in which any application can be developed. The virtualized wireless base station application is used as a prototype, showing how timing and performance challenges can be met, without enforcing specific system partitioning





  • Following are the vAccess components that will be displayed L1 processing (BSC9131RDB), L2 processing virtual machine (LS2085), and the Evolved Packet Core simulator (x 86 machines).
  • This demo also demonstrates end-to-end LTE video streaming that is DL data traffic UE->L1 on 9131->L2 on VM hosted LS2085 ->EPC-Video Server.
  • By leveraging network functions virtualization (NFV), we will also show case how virtual customer premises equipment (vCPE) solutions will work along with a IOT gateway.
