Description: 
This demo gathers visitor count data from the light beam and send it to a cloud server thanks to the IoT Reference Platform. The beam Light, with its Power Supply, is connected to an Arduino Shield featuring a segment LCD. The Arduino Shield is connected to a FRDM-K64F board which is acquiring the counter data and is transmitting them to the TWR-K70 board through an Ethernet connection.

On both K70 Tower and K64 Freedom board is running the MQX RTOS and the associated TCP/IP stack. FRDM board has a static IP address and K70 TWR has a DHCP IP assigned by the router installed on the truck. The FRDM-K64 and Arduino shield are displaying the visitor count on the display as well. In parallel the FRDM-K64 is sending the same data to the Tower board.
The visitor counter can be visualized on the cloud at www.thingspeak.com from any computer or mobile phone.
